Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Venice is recognized as part of the artistic and architectural patrimony of all humanity. This tour is available during both day time, and evening time. People also falls in love with Venice during a Venetian night. There’s a special magic atmosphere walking the little alleyways, illuminated by the rare lamps, or watching the lights reflected in the canal waters. This one-hour Venice tour starts near the Grand Canal, to many, the most beautiful boulevard in the world, full of boats and gondolas. The Venetian aristocracy built lavish palaces on the Canal. We’ll discover how Venice was built using thousands of wooden piles. We’ll cross the Rialto’s bridge, the oldest and the most famous bridge, with it's charming view from the top. We’ll then proceed to the ancient marketplace where the richness of the ancient Venetian Republic was built. We’ll also see the little cells where the insolved merchants were indebted (as it was for the Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice). We’ll end in front of the medieval Ca’ d’Oro Palace, the Golden House Palace, which is the most beautiful Grand Canal building, with its facade formerly covered by golden leaf. This tour is also available during day time. Our tour guide is a native born Venetian who lives in the city. He is a post graduate Art Historian, with experience as a University Lecturer in Finland, teaching Italian Art. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
