Palma is the capital of Mallorca. Palma is a vibrant, laid-back resort city. The streets are full of street-side cafés, amazing Spanish architecture and high end shopping. The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma is a massive Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral, from the 13th century, located in the heart of the city. The Port of Palma has been one of the most important ports along the Mediterranean Sea. Palma is known for its good sailors, great cartographers and merchants. Our one hour live, personal, interactive virtual walking tour will begin with a view of the facade of the Consolat de Mar (Consulate of the Sea) which was the maritime tribunal. Then we will stroll on to the building next door, la Llotja. Here is where the merchants used to perform their commercial transactions. We will get to enter the building and take a look around at all of its glory. Next, we will take a walk through the city, and will get to look on to a courtyard or two along the way. As we walk along, we will hear about Palma and get to see how the residents live there. Our next stops will include some of the must see tourist attractions, the Cathedral and Palacio de la Almudaina (which was once a fortress, but was converted to a royal residence). Both are unique Gothic style monuments that can not be missed. Besides their historic and artistic interest, once there we will enjoy a spectacular view of Palma Bay. See for yourself how magnificent this city is. $66 for each additional screen * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
