Pisa, Italy is a legendary city and one of the most famous in Tuscany. Located on the western coast of Italy, Pisa is on the Arno River about 20 minutes from the Ligurian Sea. Pisa has historically been one of the most important and influential cities in Italy. During the 11th century Pisa became one of the major maritime republics of Italy. The city saw great development and investment which was used to improve its infrastructure and build its world famous monuments that still stand today. Pisa has an array of beautiful historical buildings and over 20 historical churches. Pisa also has some world class museums and beautiful scenery along the banks of the River Arno, as well as the Leaning Tower. Standing on the Middle Bridge over the river Arno (the very same which flows through Florence) we make our way through some of the most characteristic streets of Pisa. As we go, we learn about its two thousand years of history of which we can actually see traces along the way. Proceeding through the magnificent Piazza dei Cavalieri (named after the Knights of the Order of Saint Stephen) we reach Campo dei Miracoli (the Field of Miracles), with the stunning Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery and its leaning bell tower, the most famous in the world. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
