Anhui Province is situated in eastern China, bordering Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, and Shandong provinces. Known as a key agricultural region, Anhui has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cool, dry winters. Average temperatures are around 15-20°C (59-68°F) and the rainy season lasts from April to June. The landscape consists of fertile plains in the north, dotted with lakes and crisscrossed by the Yangtze and Huai Rivers. The south is more mountainous, with forested highlands and peaks reaching over 1,500 meters. Anhui is home to the renowned Huangshan Mountains, whose granite peaks emerge through seas of misty clouds. The diverse terrain encompasses rice paddies, bamboo groves, villages, and historic towns with ancient temples. Anhui offers a taste of rural China amidst dramatic natural scenery. It's one of the fourteen-thousand-plus villages that are in rural China. Do not shy away from the sound of that. You won't be disappointed by Changxi’s authentic, rustic charm. During our one hour live, virtual, interactive, walking tour our guide will show you an unadulterated slice of this country at present. On this tour, you'll experience the life, customs, architecture and natural landscapes of Changxi. Along the way, our guide will have a chat with some locals to enquire how they live and work here as well as what she / he wishes for in the future.
