Cadiz is full of Spanish history and culture. It is a city lined with beautiful beaches and majestic cathedrals with soaring bell towers. Cadiz is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe, with a history dating back about 3,000 years. The port of Cadiz, an ancient port, is the principal port of the Spanish Navy. Old City is charming and is characterized by its narrow winding alleyways, remnants of city walls and large plazas. Cadiz was featured in the James Bond movie, “Die Another Day”, however, under the disguise of Cuba. Our one hour live, personal, interactive, virtual walking tour will start at the Plaza San Juan de Dios. Here we will get an introduction to the origins of this city from 3000 years ago. We will also learn about the importance of this city as a strategic point for many different routes of commerce following the Discovery of America. We will stroll through the Populo Arch and walk through its neighborhood. Walking through the narrow streets and experiencing its magic with the Saint Cross Church. We will get to take in the view of the sea that illuminates the New Cathedral with the square. Finally, we will stroll through the Plaza de las Flores. It is a large plaza that is full of life with its flower stalls, its bars and shops.
