Piran is a picturesque town situated on a long and narrow peninsula jutting out into the Adriatic. It is almost entirely surrounded by water. Piran was once part of Venice, and the architecture and vibrant pastel colors are evidence of that. Piran has a maze of narrow streets, pastel-colored buildings, and the town wall, you will find it all totally charming. There is also Tartini Square, the town’s main square, which is a beautiful oval shaped square and one of the prettiest in all of Slovenia. It is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate, and explore for a delightful, low-key, low-stress experience. Our one-hour virtual travel tour will begin at the Piran transportation station (there are no cars allowed in the Old City area) and head to Tartini Square. Here, we will learn about Guisepe Tartini, the famous violinist, who was a Piran native. We will be able to listen to his music, hear a story about him, and find out about the secret in his birth house. Then, we will take a stroll around the Minorite Monastery and the church of Saint Francis. Past the church of Marija Snezna and Marija Tolaznica, we will come to the mighty complex of Saint George. From there, we will be able to soak in the beauty of Piran. We will be able to see a preserved piece of the former city gates that were once used as an entrance to the city. This tour will also have three fun surprises for you to learn about throughout the tour. Our virtual tour of Piran will be full of cultural and historical information and sights. Special attention will be paid to the saltworks, palaces and other sights in Tartini Square, as well as the complex of St. George, the baptistery, the bell tower and the baroque church that reigns at the top of the hill. From the hill we will have a beautiful view of three countries, Slovenia, Italy and Croatia as well as a southwestern view of the Adriatic Sea which is breathtaking especially at sunset. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
