This will be a riveting trip based on the history and culture of Seville, the capital of Southern Spain. Seville is one of the most charming and fun cities in Europe. Here we will find a rich local culture, excellent gastronomy and a fascinating urban scenery which showcases Seville's millenary history. Our tour will take us through centuries of history, starting with the magnificent Seville Cathedral. As one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, it houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus and offers breathtaking views from its iconic Giralda Tower. Next, we'll stroll through the charming neighborhood of Santa Cruz, known for its narrow streets, beautiful squares, and hidden patios. This former Jewish quarter is filled with stories of romance, tragedy, and the echoes of Moorish influence. Our journey will also lead us to the Real Alcázar, a stunning royal palace that showcases a unique blend of Mudéjar, Gothic, and Renaissance architectural styles. Its exquisite gardens, intricate tilework, and tranquil courtyards make it a true gem of Seville's history. No historical tour of Seville would be complete without a visit to the Plaza de España. This grand square, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, boasts a magnificent combination of Renaissance and Moorish design. Its ornate ceramic benches and decorative tilework depict scenes from different provinces of Spain. Throughout our tour, we'll delve into the city's vibrant past, learning about the influences of the Romans, Moors, and Christian monarchs who shaped Seville's identity.
