Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa bordering South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Known as the "Pearl of Africa", Uganda has a warm tropical climate with temperatures averaging around 25°C (77°F) and two rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The country's diverse landscape consists of the fertile plateau, swamps, lakes, rolling hills, tropical rainforest and snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains along the border with the Congo. In 1917 this hill was just a forest yet it treated the Buganda monarchy King. A century later the hill now filled with modern medical technology, infrastructure and treatments has become one of the most sought after for modern medical practitioners. Almost every expert doctor in Uganda has passed through the hill via education or internship training. Also, global medical experts coming in the East African region seek to join this hill to build expertise. On our virtual walking tour, we get to discover, live, Mulago hill, the home of the biggest referral hospital in Uganda. Let’s take a walk around the doctor’s village. We will learn about the history of Mulago hill it’s surrounding green nature, the different plants, and visit some lovely, local monkeys living alongside it’s current infrastructure.
