A Simple Tutorial to Use the Subscription Portal

Q:  What is Discover Live?

A:  Discover Live is a virtual tour company that provides live, virtual, interactive tours and experiences to various destinations around the world. 


Q:  What is the Tourist Subscription Program?

A:  Offers Shared Live Travel Experiences at the budget-friendly amount of $49.

  • Select from up to 8 tour options per month

  • Attend up to 5 tours per month

  • Tours delivered via Zoom

  • Live chats during the tour


Q:  It says Free Trial, how do I get this?

A:  The free trial is not for Bundle or NYSOFA-funded customers, sorry.


Q:  Are there materials that coordinate with the tour?  How do I access them?

A:  Yes, there are Tour Materials.  Please access them this way:

  • Go to your Subscription Dashboard

  • Go to the Tourist Dashboard

  • At the top of this new screen you will see Calendar, My Bookings and Tour Materials

  • Click on Tour Materials

  • Choose the appropriate folder associated with the tour you would like materials for

  • Click Open Folder

  • Download the Tour Materials


Q:  What does it mean to Swap a tour?

A:  Each month you can change out a tour location.  You can do this by going to: 

  • My Bookings

  • Choose the tour that you would like to Swap

  • Go to the right of the tour and click on Swap.

*This will delete this tour and then you will be allowed to choose another tour to replace it.  Please remember, this must be done 14 days prior to the tour date.


Q:  What is the Observer Subscription Program?

A:  Pre-recorded Travel Experiences

  • Access to a growing library of tours from all over the world

  • At least one new location added weekly

  • Budget friendly

  • Destination Brochure


Q:  Do Engagement Bundle partners have to pay for the Observer program?

A:  No, this is currently complimentary for our Engagement Bundle customers.  If this changes in the future, customers will be notified appropriately.


Q:  My page does not seem to be functioning properly, what should I do?

A: Please refresh your browser or use another browser to open the Subscription page


Q:  I would like to cancel my booked tour, how do I do this?

A:  Please go to your subscription portal

  • Delete your booked tour

  • (Please note your cancelation of a booked tour is irreversible, and you will not receive any refund for the canceled tour.)


Q:  I want to share these experiences with my family from home, can I?

  1. Of course you can!  For personal subscriptions, we suggest the Sightseer program which would offer two (from at least 8 choices) Live virtual experiences each month for only $19. One can subscribe to the Sightseer Program here.
