Service Description

Salvador is a city in the North East of Brazil where 80 percent of its residents are of African descent. It is the Capital city of the state of Bahia. Salvador is recognized throughout the country and internationally for its cuisine, music and architecture. African culture has been experiencing a renaissance here. This tour will introduce you to the Afro Heritage in the Streets of the Old Town of Bahia (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Bahia is the country's pulsing epicenter of Afro-Brazilian culture. It is known for its warm, vibrant culture. The city’s most distinctive characteristic is its deep bond with Africa and its customs: candomble religion, afro-Brazilian food, music (percussion and samba reggae) and the warm welcome in the streets of Salvador. We will walk from Terreiro de Jesus to Largo do Pelourinho. We will experience in each corner of the Old Town why Salvador has been called the blackest city outside of Africa. This is a tour steeped in culture! $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
