Lima, Peru is known as one of the culinary capitals of the world. In this one-hour cooking class, our guide will take you into her kitchen. Here she will share information about the products and the history behind two of the most famous Peruvian dishes, ceviche and lomo saltado. She will also share a few of her Grandma’s recipe secrets. You do not need to be a professional chef to participate, just a desire to learn, and a curiosity to try something new. Your guide will do the rest. Together you will learn the tips and tricks to prepare these delicious dishes and impress your guests at any time. Our personal, live virtual food cooking experience will begin in a Peruvian kitchen with a professional chef from Lima. We will send the ingredient list in advance of the tour. With our chef and our guide, you will learn to create two Peruvian dishes, step by step, at your own pace. During the process, you will be taught secret tips from Grandma’s recipe cards and tricks from Auntie’s notes. There are no difficult techniques to learn, just fun, relaxing cooking. This experience will be like visiting with a dear friend at their home in Lima, Peru. It will be a lot of fun, laid back, learn a little history, and learn a little Spanish. There are no rules in Peruvian cooking, if something is delicious, they keep doing it. A well-curated dish is so much more than just food, it carries the spirit of a nation!
