London, the capital of England, is located in southeastern England along the River Thames. The city is known for its rainy weather and rich history dating back over 2,000 years when it was founded as the Roman city Londinium. On this 60-minuteDiscover Live walking tour, we'll explore London's regal history and sights related to the British monarchy. Starting at the iconic Buckingham Palace, the London residence of the royal family, we'll head to St James's Palace, which was the official royal residence from 1702 until 1837. From there, we'll stroll through St. James's Park, home to pelicans given as a gift from the Russian ambassador in 1664, and admire views of the park's lake and Buckingham Palace. Next we'll walk past the Churchill War Rooms, the underground command center used by Winston Churchill and the Cabinet during World War II, as well as 10 Downing Street, the famous office and home of the British Prime Minister. We'll see the only surviving remnant of the Whitehall Palace, where numerous English monarchs once lived. Our tour concludes at the Horse Guards Parade, where we can watch the Changing of the Queen's Guard ceremony with its scarlet-clad soldiers and marching bands. $99 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
