Service Description

Porto is a unique, ancient and vibrant city in the coastal north of Portugal, where the Douro River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is a UNESCO World Heritage city and several times chosen Best European Destination. Porto’s people, history, legends, tradition, culture, scenic views and world famous legendary Port Wine, will inspire you to get to know what is still a fabulous "hidden gem". In a merchant city that based its economy on water related activities, the old harbor, by the Douro's river front, developed into the most picturesque neighborhood: Ribeira. We'll start the tour by the imperial Henry the Navigator Square, and then adventure to the inside of the old medieval wall. It is a labyrinth of narrow granite streets, tall houses covered in tiles of bright colors, with clothes drying from the balconies. Walking by the river front we'll see all the boats waiting for passengers and also the older "rabelos", still housing wine barrels inside. All the while we will be overlooking Gaia, on the other side of the river. We will view the amazing panel of tiles, depicting typical life in the neighborhood. Going through arcades and cobbled stone, in the middle of traditional restaurants, iconic statues, vibrant crowds and street artists, we continue our way up the Luis I bridge. Here the local kids have fun diving into the river. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
