Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is situated on the Vltava River. Prague is several hours drive from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia and Poland. The region was settled as early as the Paleolithic age. Prague castle has existed on this site since about the year 800. During our one hour, live, virtual, walking experience, your guide will begin at the picturesque Kampa Island on one side of the river, through the quaint streets of the Little Quarter, all the way to the outskirts of the Old Town – crossing the famous Charles Bridge in the meantime. Come along and experience the history of Prague during this live walking tour. Completed in the 1400s, the wide stone Charles Bridge is decorated with impressive statuary and boasts views of some of Prague's most famous architecture. Explore the characters that decorate this popular thoroughfare as well as the historical events that took place here with your local host. Discover the John Lennon Wall, site of peace-themed graffiti since the 1980s. Admire the tremendous Baroque church of St. Nicholas and its secrets in the bell tower. Ask your guide all about the daily life of modern Prague, while you enjoy stunning views of its most famous panorama.
