Perched high above the Vltava River, Prague Castle dominates the city skyline with its storybook silhouette and centuries-old grandeur. Founded in 880, this sprawling castle complex—one of the largest in the world—has served as the seat of Bohemian kings, Holy Roman emperors, and today, the President of the Czech Republic. With a rich history woven through its ancient stone walls, the castle grounds offer a breathtaking journey through the heart of Czech heritage. Our walk begins near the towering St. Vitus Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece whose stained glass and soaring spires inspire awe at every turn. Nestled nearby, tiny, colorful houses dotting the Golden Lane lend a fairytale charm, transporting you into a world where knights, alchemists, and royalty once roamed. From here, we’ll step off the well-trodden path and follow our guide into the quiet enchantment of the New World neighborhood—a hidden corner of Prague where cobbled streets wind between pastel facades and time seems to stand still. These peaceful alleys, once home to artists and dreamers, reveal a softer, more intimate side of the city. Our destination is the Loreto, a stunning 17th-century Baroque church and pilgrimage site adorned with delicate sculptures of angels and ornate architecture. A true hidden gem, the Loreto is a serene escape from the city's bustle and a portal into Prague’s spiritual and artistic past.
