Welcome to the oldest (dating back to the stone age) and one of the most beautiful towns in Slovenia, Ptuj! Located in the northeastern part of Slovenia and surrounded by two wine-growing districts, Ptuj is widely renowned as the Slovenian capital of carnival and the city of poetry and wine. We will start our one hour, private, live, interactive walking tour on the pedestrian bridge, from here you will get the most beautiful views of the medieval town and the castle perched atop! As we continue to the old town, our guide will share with you many impressive and interesting facts about the town and its people. We will stop at the most artistic place to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine and learn about poetry in the oldest town. Our guide will show you their famous Orpheus monument, the biggest Roman monument, found in the former Roman province of Upper Pannonia. You will hear the legend of the town tower and learn about the longest wine production in Slovenia. At the end, you will meet our famous KURENT – traditional mask, which has made our town famous and attracts over 45,000 visitors to the city annually. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
