Wawel Royal Hill: The Heart of Polish History, a PRIVATE TOUR
Service Description
Located in southern Poland along the banks of the Vistula River, Krakow is one of Europe's most beautiful and historic cities. The city enjoys a temperate climate, with warm summers, colorful autumns, and crisp winters that add to its timeless charm. Once the royal capital of Poland, Krakow is renowned for its stunning architecture, rich cultural heritage, and centuries of fascinating history. Join us for a live, virtual 60 minute walking tour as we explore Wawel Royal Hill, the most important historical and symbolic site in Poland. Perched dramatically on a limestone cliff above the Vistula River, Wawel Royal Hill is crowned by a magnificent royal castle and cathedral and is steeped in legends, including the famous tale of the dragon said to have lived in a cave beneath the hill. During our journey, we will visit the Royal Cathedral of St. Wenceslaus and St. Stanislaus, the coronation site and final resting place of Polish kings, queens, and national heroes. Along the way, we will uncover stories of remarkable rulers, courageous leaders, and larger-than-life personalities whose lives shaped the history of Poland and, in some cases, intersected with American history in surprising ways. We will also step into the breathtaking Renaissance courtyard of Wawel Castle, where elegant arcades designed by Italian architects in the 16th century surround one of Europe's most beautiful castle interiors. Through stories of royal intrigue, foreign invasions, cultural achievement, resilience, triumph, and heartbreak, these ancient walls come alive with the people and events that shaped a nation. More than simply visiting a castle, this live virtual experience offers a unique window into the Polish spirit. As we explore the hill that has stood at the center of Polish identity for more than a thousand years, you will gain a deeper understanding of why Wawel remains one of the country's most treasured symbols of pride, heritage, and perseverance. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers.
