  • 1 hour
  • $249 up to 3 screens
  • Virtual Tour

Service Description

Yogyakarta, sometimes called “Jogja”, is a city on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is known for its traditional arts and cultural heritage. It has an ornate 18th-century royal complex, or kraton. The complex encompasses the Sultan’s Palace, which is still in use. Yogyakarta is the only province in Indonesia with a special status because the reigning King of the Kingdom of Yogyakarta is the Governor. The reason is that back in 1945, after the declaration of independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the King decided to join the new country to give it power before the world. The royal family has a special duty - to preserve the Javanese culture. Our one hour, live, personal virtual walking tour will begin in the heart of Yogyakarta, on Malioboro Street. This is the city’s main street, and was once the ceremonial avenue for the Sultan to pass through on his way to and from the Keraton. We will walk the main street, where you can see the culture, people and architecture of the city. See how they interact in the market, how beautiful their arts and wares are and spy the mouth watering street food. There is so much to see and do here, you may have to visit again. $79 for each additional screen (does not apply to corporate customers.) * This tour is not designed for our corporate customers. For our corporate programs and rates, please contact hello@discover.live for more information.
