The upper city of Zagreb, Old City, is located on two hills, Kaptol and Grades. They were originally two unique cities separated by the Sava River. To reach the upper city from the lower city, residents use the world's shortest funicular railway. Lotrščak tower is located at the funicular upper level exit. The city's most famous monument is St. Mark’s Church. It has an ornately tiled roof illustrating the emblems of Croatia and the city of Zagreb.
