Anyone else remember a meal more clearly than the actual trip?

I was cleaning out a kitchen drawer this morning and found one of those tiny espresso cups I bought in Rome years ago. Funny thing is, I barely remember half the places we went that week, but I can still remember standing at a counter one morning with an espresso and a warm cornetto, absolutely exhausted and thinking it was the best breakfast I’d ever had.

I used to travel a lot more than I do now, and lately it’s the food memories that seem to come back first.
